Opening New Doors
Opening New Doors
FROM PASTOR STIGALL
Dear Grace EFC,
What joy it has been to learn about the rich heritage of this church and the vibrant ministries that are being forged both near and far. And yet, especially through the Listening Conferences, I have sensed throughout our church family a yearning for something new, something bold.
Over the year your dreams and hopes have given birth to a shared vision - a vision which now calls from each of us our very best as we begin a Capital Stewardship Campaign. We’ve selected the theme “Opening New Doors” because that captures what we’re sensing the Lord doing among us both literally and figuratively. We purpose to move forward in key areas as a direct result of this campaign.
I personally invite you to walk with us through the doors of opportunity that the Lord is opening.
Standing with you on the threshold,
Pastor Gerald
F.A.Q.
What are the ministry plans before us?
This campaign has three focuses: We are committed to identifying and securing the funding for a pastor of youth and young adults. Secondly, we desire to eliminate (or greatly reduce) our debt which will free monies to support existing and future ministries. And thirdly, we desire to renovate the building through structural improvements.
Why now?
This church has experienced God’s blessings in many ways over the past 45 years. What is more, we believe that the Lord is positioning us on the threshold of doors that are opening to new possibilities. We believe that the time is now for us to move forward in adventurous faith.
What am I being asked to do?
We are asking our entire church family to pray about how the Lord would have us respond to making a 3-year commitment to give above and beyond our current giving. Through the gifts and obedient hearts of the church family, God will provide and bless.
How will commitments be made?
You can choose to make weekly, monthly, annual, or lump sum commitments. The commitment period will be for three years.
Can commitments be changed if necessary?
Yes, you may either increase or decrease your commitment at any time as the Lord leads.
Will I have a chance to review plans and ask questions prior to making a commitment?
YES! Please contact any of the staff team or Roland Peterson, Chair of the Opening New Doors Followup Team. Email
What is expected of me?
To be informed, to be involved, and to be in prayer. Join us as together we stand on the threshold of new doors which the Lord is opening for us. May we walk forward in faith – reaching out and touching lives.
